Albemarle Crematorium The Albemarle Crematorium is located at Twiford Northside Chapel. This provides a chapel for those families who wish a service prior to cremation. An extensive selection of urns and cremation containers are available at this facility. The Albemarle Crematory is fully licensed and regulated by the North Carolina Board. Calvin Arnold, David Twiford and Sam A. Twiford, Jr. are the owners of the crematory. Jack Sawyer, Jerome Rust, Sam Henderson, and Bryon Hickman, Jr. oversee the operation of the crematory and are certified by North Carolina Board of Mortuary Science as crematory operators. Albemarle Crematorium provides cremation services for more families in Northeastern North Carolina and Tidewater Virginia than any crematorium located in either North Carolina or Virginia. In August of 2007, Albemarle Crematorium was completely refurbished to incorporate many of the newest advancements available in crematoriums today.
